In this parsed essay we considered the fascinating juxtaposition, literally to the extremes, of Creationist and Intelligent Design preoccupation with complexity and Atheist-Darwinian-Evolution preoccupation with simplicity when it comes to the issue of life’s origins—find the whole essay here.
Consider the evidence of the universe being fine-tuned for life. Upon being confronted with the scientific evidence, and accepting it, what do Atheist-Darwinian-Evolutionists do? They adhere to their materialistic, mechanistic, reductionist worldviews and have thus far only come up with two “explanations” or “answers”:
1) Of course, the universe is fine-tuned of life since otherwise we would not be here to discuss it.
This is the epitome of jejune and is either a scientific and philosophical hoax or the utter bankruptcy of Atheist-Darwinian-Evolution.
That we are here to observe the fine-tuning does not come anywhere near the realm of explaining or answering as to how it came to be fine-tuned. Richard Dawkins, for one, proposes that the universe too must have undergone Atheist-Darwinian-Evolution which is basically to not explain nor answer by appealing to a non-explanatory non-answer.
2) Atheist-Darwinian-Evolutionists appeal to the multiverse for the same reason, in order to not explain nor answer by appealing to a non-explanatory non-answer.
They assert something even more fine-tuned and more complex—the multiverse—in order to abscond something less fine-tuned and less complex—the universe.
In short, that the Atheist-Darwinian-Evolutionists who appeal to the multiverse have done is to create, and abscond to, a supernatural realm of their own making. The multiverse is unobserved, intangible, un-experimented upon, omnipresent, omniscient, eternal, it is the uncaused first cause, the un-created creator of all things.
Of course, these are admissions that the universe is, indeed, fine-tuned and extraordinary fine-tuning requires an extraordinary fine tuner.
In conclusion, that claim that Creationists and Intelligent Design theorists appeal to complexity so as to stop science from progressing does not seem to happen and the history of science shows that the precise opposite is true. Moreover, their conclusion that information comes from mind is solid and goes unchallenged.
Atheist-Darwinian-Evolutionist appeals to simplicity is the stuff of quaint Victorian Era science, is shown to be utterly un-fractural and has resulted in much fiction being passed off as science in children’s books, public school textbooks that are supposed to be about science, peered reviewed science journals, etc.
